Hi Aman!
Good to see you here. I agree with your point. If you are in a CBSE affiliated school, NCERT books are must for study in case you want to avoid any future problems in your boards. You must be knowing that CBSE has agreed to use only the syllabus as put up by NCERT. At the all-India level, the NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) has a specially designed course that match the current generation mentality and its level of acceptance and grasping. The private books may be of the same level, that are in accordance with NCERT syllabus and way of presentation. If not, they may have different ways of representation - and NOT like NCERT. In that case, to have proper results in boards, it is necessary you follow NCERT.
In the Xth and XIIth boards, it is always advised by the teachers and professors that you go through NCERT textbooks to achieve merits. Because the questions are only from the NCERT. Even the conceptual ones.
If you plan to stay in the same school, I would suggest you to study NCERT material side-by-side with your school. I believe you can do it, with proper guidance around

.
Wish you best of the lucks! Study well now, and you won't face any problems in the studies ahead!
